Embrace God's love, find peace, and conquer challenges through His unwavering love!
1 - 1 John 4:16 - And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
God is love. These three words are given to us in 1 John 4:16 and 1 John 4:8, but I have not always clearly understood their meaning. After turning to God with my whole heart, the Holy Spirit did what He does—He helped me.
Today, I better understand God's love, which has been life-changing!
Here is what I learned.
God is not mad at us.
God cares about every minute detail of our lives.
God longs to spend time with us.
God is standing by right now, waiting to touch us and teach us the amazing benefits His love has provided.
God paid a very high price for us by sending His only Son to die for us.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
It cost Jesus everything. If we could only understand how much He cares.
God is not a distant being who is always angry with us. He's a loving Father who wants us to pay attention to Him and spend time with Him.
He doesn't want us to judge Him by what seems to be happening in another human being's life. We can only judge Who He is by what He says in His Word.
Every Word He says is true. God just wants us to love Him and let Him love us. There's nothing more He needs to do for us. He's already done everything that needs to be done.
He won't be coming back to do it all over again. Jesus has already won our victory for us, and God just wants to fellowship with us and show us Who He is.
He made possible for us the fellowship He enjoyed with Adam and Eve in the Garden before the fall through the life, death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus.
God wants to show us how we get to always triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14).
So in your pain, let God love you.
In your confusion, let Jesus in.
In your hurt, let God heal you.
In your disappointment, let Jesus fix it.
He will. He's waiting. Give God a turn. No one can fix it like God can fix it.
Perhaps you just want your voice to be heard.
Say it to God; He'll hear it. And He knows exactly what to do about it.
I did all of this and found that I had not been giving God the credit He deserves.
Imagine having someone so loving, caring, respectful, and careful not to interfere but waits patiently for the opportunity to love richly, deeply, and unreservedly.
That's God. He loves us so much.
He would never let us lose. Ever.
We can never go under when He is in charge. Ever.
My problem was that I didn't know Him well enough to be able to trust Him to fix it for me. But I've learned that He really is my loving Heavenly Father.

Matthew 7:11
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Just think about your own children or someone you love dearly. If we know how to give good gifts to them, the Holy Spirit is saying, "How much more will God give good things to them that ask Him?"
Just go to God with an honest heart. Not from a position of using Him to get us out of a difficult situation for now and then finding no further need for His love.
I've been guilty of praying that way. God has indeed answered me at times when I cried out to Him from a position of need, but He wants so much more than that from us.
Why? Because He has so much more He wants to make ours.
Humans fail. God wants to free us from every bondage connected to our failed humanness.
When we go to Him from a place of surrender, we position ourselves for freedom. I am not at all perfect and will never be perfect in this life, but I am free.
What does being free mean?
I am free to hear and obey God's loving voice when He convicts me of wrongdoing. I am free to be made sorry after a godly manner, able to repent, and then be approved through God's mercy to be clear in the matter (2 Corinthians 7:9-11).
I am free to obey Him when He leads me to apologize for something I didn't say or do correctly. I am free to walk in forgiveness when offenses come.
I am free from not always having to be right. I am free from seeking only my own selfish desires.
I am free to turn to God when He shows me things from which I need to be set free.
I am so grateful! I didn't realize how bound I was until His love set me free. I'm no longer bound to stay bound. I'm free to turn from wrongdoing as truth reveals its existence in me. Therefore I am free to live victoriously.
The Holy Spirit leads me into victory (2 Corinthians 2:14)!

The love of God is revealed throughout scripture. Even if the word "love" is not used in the verse, God's love and care for us saturates its meaning.
One such Bible verse is 1 Peter 5:8-9, which has been a tremendous help to me over the years.

The Body of Christ is made up of millions of people. This Bible verse reveals that brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ have already overcome every challenge I've experienced or will experience.
And if they can overcome through Christ, so can I!
Jesus defeated the devil for all of us—every single one of us! And because He loves us so much, He did it even before we turned from our sins!

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God never wanted us to live subject to the pain, sorrow, and failures related to human frailty. He loved us to life! No one could love us more!

Embracing God's love is rich, liberating, and peaceful. So is giving his love to others. To touch into the God-kind of love, is to touch God himself.

As we pray for loved ones who we just can't seem to reach, may the following Bible verse encourage us to know that God loves them more than we do.
We won't stop praying that God will send them the right person with the right understanding of how to reach them and bring them to Christ. And we trust that they will accept Jesus Christ as Lord.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
When we miss it, may this verse encourage us to know that our mistakes are included in Christ's sacrifice on the cross. We don't have to hide from our loving Father as Adam and Eve did, but we can run to Him.
He'll take us in His arms, forgive us, and fix it.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteous-ness.
Life has its challenges. During difficult times, the enemy will speak lies to our minds in an effort to turn us from God and embrace fear and doubt.
But when we fellowship with God, we come to know His love in a very real way. To know Him is to love and trust Him.
No matter what feelings challenges may bring or what lies the enemy brings to our minds, NOTHING can separate us from God's love.

Romans 8:37-39
[37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
[39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31-32
[31] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
[32] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
And since He loves us so richly, so completely, we can trust Him to provide everything we need...freely.
